Youth Program

R.A.W. United welcomes youth of all ages, and maintains records starting at seven years of age and younger (7-U, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13).  Powerlifting is a sport for all ages, and we are humbled by the many families that have joined our ranks. Youth lifters are eligible for all of our contests, to include the inaugural National Championships on September 15 and 16 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.  Moreover, youth lifters that have a parent deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) or Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq) are also eligible to compete in the Armed Forces Championships over the same weekend.

In an effort to assist families financially, youth lifters are not required to compete on non-supportive singlets.  Athletes may choose instead to wear gym shorts and a t-shirt; shirts must be tucked in when on the competitive platform.
